Monster Island [Movie Review]

The 2019 mockbuster by The Asylum, Monster Island was published simultaneously with Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is about an island called Monster Island where a monster may be discovered, who is sort of the island, the Monster Island, if you will.


The movie is about an asylum and has a budget roughly equal to (review) a large child's meal. The movie focuses on a few main characters, and all sequences can be shot on one set. This is the kaiju-genre, and that's how they work, so maybe The Asylum won’t be so terrible with it?
